For the highest level of barrier protection Maltaward offer a range of heavy duty road barriers which are suited to a variety of applications. Made of hard-wearing UV stabilised prime polyethylene these heavy-duty barriers have a clever interlocking system which allows for curves and bends whilst leaving no gaps.

Tough heavy duty safety barrier system. Lightweight when empty the barriers can easily be deployed by two people with no heavy lifting equipment, then when filled with water they create a 350kg mass to ensure they are not moved by vandals or the weather. The two-metre length and 0.9M height makes the barrier ideal for highway delineation for pedestrian or vehicle safety. A locking pin system allows for each barrier to pivot against the next by up to 35° allowing for curves and bends. The barriers are manufactured from UV stabilised prime polyethylene, meaning the barriers will not fade or crack over time.

220m of GB2 barrier can be delivered in one load on our own transport and are easily assembled by two people. Fully stackable for easy transport and storage and GB2 barriers are supplied in red and white, with alternate colours available on request.

What are the benefits of GB2 over other systems?

The GB2 barrier system is a sturdy and high-quality product manufactured from UV stabilised prime polythene and has been successfully MIRA wind tested to 78mph. It’s compatible with a metal hoarding and fencing panel for added extra security and privacy at your site.

What panels can be fitted to the GB2 Barrier?

Our GB2 barriers come with the option of either a solid hoarding panel, a mesh fence panel or a combined hoarding and fence panel, the lower section is solid with a mesh upper half. All three panels fit into holes formed in the top of each barrier, creating a neat and effective site barrier.

Hoarding Panels

Solid hoarding is ideal for when you want more privacy from people outside of a works area and prevent them from getting in. These metal panels are purchased in addition to the GB2 Base units.

Fence top Panels

Great for use in areas where a solid panel would obstruct the vision of drivers pulling in and out of the site. They still, provide excellent security preventing people “hopping over” and into the site.
