We are a supplier of our own approved temporary airport jet blast deflector fences for use in airport construction sites. Our jet blast fences offer a simple, fast and temporary protection system for airport construction sites to shield workers and equipment from the powerful blasts of jet engines.
Manufactured using galvanised and powder-coated steel, our jet blast fences are extremely durable, in a modular system that can be configured to suit specific airport project requirements.
This proprietary manufactured system was specifically designed for this purpose, which makes it extremely effective if you are carrying out any kind of airside work. Recent Projects
Terminal 3 Heathrow – Airbridges refurbishments
Client: Amalga
This project was to upgrade and refurbish the aircraft stands airbridges at Heathrow’s Terminal 3. Maltaward were appointed by the main contractor to provide the construction site with the perimeter fencing protection. Our jet blast fence was installed on the side adjacent to the taxiway, giving protection to the workforce from passing jets. The remaining perimeter was secured with our red and white painted TVCB’s mounted with temporary fence panels. Vehicle and pedestrian access were provided by our standard gate systems, the pedestrian gate controlled with digit-code locks. All the fencing and barriers were delivered and installed by our own teams under the supervision of our Appointed Person. We continued to monitor the perimeter with our in-house Temporary Works Co-ordinator and reconfigured the boundary fencing to accommodate the progression of the site works.
Heathrow – Advanced Works for Backup Control Tower
Client: MACE
The main contractor undertook the relocation of buried services in advance of construction works for a new control tower. Maltaward were appointed by the main contractor to provide the construction site with the perimeter fencing protection and egress/exit points for the construction traffic. Maltaward provided a combination of TVCB’s fitted with mesh fencing and MASS barrier fencing to secure the site boundaries. Vehicle and pedestrian access were provided by our standard gate systems, the pedestrian gate controlled with digit-code locks. All the fencing and barriers were delivered and installed by our own teams under the supervision of our Appointed Person. We continued to monitor the perimeter with our in-house Temporary Works Co-ordinator and reconfigured the boundary fencing to accommodate the progression of the site works.
